I Pray All Is Well…And Life Is Love N Happiness…Filled With Joy And Compassion…For Each And Every One Of Ya’s… Amen…
Here’s An Interesting Little Piece About My Life Which Was Brought To My Attention This Evening, That I Will Share; And I Don’t Do THAT Often.
Soooo…My Mom Moved My Sister And I From NC To DC When I Was Four Years Old. But That Move Was Necessary, In Ways She Could Have Never Known. And At That Point, All Of The Love I Had Ever Known Had Come From My Family Members In NC…My Elders, I Call Them. They Must Have Showed Me Some Real Love And Prayed Incessantly For Me, Cuz When We Got To DC, I Was Homesick For That Love; And There Seemed To Be No Sincere Love For Us In Our New Hometown. Now, Even Tho I Was Four Years Old, I Knew The Absence Of Love. So, I Told My Momma That I Was Going Back Home. I Told Her That I Was Gonna Make Me “Twelve Butter Breads”, And Run Away Back To NC. Now…Butter Bread To Me Was Buttery Biscuits…I Loved Homemade Biscuits, With Butter; I Used To Eat Them Cold, I Loved Them So Much…And Wouldn’t Go To Sleep Till I Was Promised One…For The Next Morning. But You Can’t Get Me To Eat One Too Quickly Now, Tho. However, That Idea Of Going Back Stayed In My Mind And Heart, At That Time.
And Now, I Laugh When I Think About Dem “Butter Breads”.
However, It Just Goes To Show That No Matter Our Age, We Can Still Feel And Know Love And Sincerity…If It Is Genuine. And I Never Did Feel That Same Love When We Left NC All Of Those Years Ago; But That Love That I Received From My Elders When I Was Very Young, Is Still With Me Today…And I Still Feel It; Even After All That I Have Endured In Life…It Is Still There! It Was Obviously Love That Taught Me…And Showed Me How To Love Myself And Others; And It Had To Be Sincere…Cuz That Love, That Foundation Of Love…Is Still With Me…And It Will Never Leave Me! And For That, I AM Grateful, Eternally Grateful!
So…Y’all Love Up On The Youngsters…GodStyle! Amen…
And Ima Big Up My Ancestors, For The Love And Direction Given… That I Had Forgotten Along The Way; But Yet, Stayed In My Heart…To Be Brought Back To The Forefront Of My Awareness And Remembrance…Someday; Today…This Day…And Everyday…Praise God!
Aye…”People will not look forward to posterity, who never look backward to their ancestors. (Edmund Burke); For…Every man is a quotation from all his ancestors. (Ralph Waldo Emerson); And…No man can outwit the ancestors. (African Proverb)”
See…”In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. (Hebrews 1:1-2); Now…We have heard it with our ears, O God; our ancestors have told us what you did in their days, in days long ago. With your hand you drove out the nations and planted our ancestors; you crushed the peoples and made our ancestors flourish. It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them. (Psalm 44:1-3); And…In you our ancestors put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them. To you they cried out and were saved; in you they trusted and were not put to shame. (Psalm 22:4-5); Still…Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation. (2 Peter 3:4); And…I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. (2 Timothy 1:3-4); And…I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden things, things from of old—things we have heard and known, things our ancestors have told us. And…We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. (Psalm 78:2-4); For…The God of our ancestors has chosen you (us) to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. And…You (we) will be his witness to all people of what you (we) have seen and heard.” (Acts 22:14-15); Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. (Deuteronomy 4:9); And…Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. (Deuteronomy 11:18-20); Cuz…from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. (Psalm 103:17-18)”
