“40. THEN THE THIRD AND FOURTH (RACES) BECAME TALL WITH PRIDE. WE ARE THE KINGS, IT WAS SAID; WE ARE THE GODS.
At the dawn of his consciousness, the man of the Third Root-Race had thus no beliefs that could be called religion.
It was the “Golden Age” in those days of old, the age when the “gods walked the earth, and mixed freely with the mortals.”
Since then, the gods departed (i.e., became invisible), and later generations ended by worshiping their kingdoms – the Elements.
41. THEY TOOK WIVES FAIR TO LOOK AT. WIVES FROM THE “MINDLESS”, THE NARROW-HEADED. THEY BRED MONSTERS, WICKED DEMONS, MALE AND FEMALE. ALSO KHADO (DAKINI) WITH LITTLE MINDS.
With the Fourth Race we reach the purely human period.
Those who were hitherto semi-divine Beings, self-imprisoned in bodies which were human only in appearance, became physiologically changed and took unto themselves wives who were entirely human and fair to look at, but in whom lower, more material, though sidereal, beings had incarnated.”
H. P. Blavatsky
