“I will show you what you do to yourselves, and I am quite sure you will agree with Me. What is your habit of feeling? What is the picture in your mind when you have a lot of bills to pay? You say, “I have to pay these bills; here are these bills!” Do you ever stop and look at those bills and say: “’Beloved ‘Mighty I AM Presence’, pay these bills! See that they are paid through your Love; and keep me so happy with your Love pouring through me that whatever is necessary for me to do to pay them, I do through Love, and all loves to come to me to pay them for You!” You never thought about loving your bills, did you? Well, the day you do, bills won’t bother you any more than the air. Of course, sometimes, the air becomes contaminated; but you can change that too.
Now I want to take this element of doubt and fear out of you because, My Loved Ones, the money beast of the world holds its whip over mankind through doubt and fear. Why? Because through doubt and fear it disturbs your harmony so your supply cannot come to you. Prove to me anything to the contrary. “I AM” trying to get the whole “I AM” Student Body to practice the picturing in the mind of the fulfillment of your Calls through Love! You can do it just as sure as you exist in this Universe. “I AM” determined to get this clear in all of your minds to help you reverse the habit of race consciousness, that has bound itself to you through debt and doubt and fear, by its own selfishness.
This is what takes place: Because of doubt and fear, people, through their feelings, lock a small quantity of something to themselves, that if they would let it go in Love and Blessings and give it back to the “Presence” in the Enjoyment and fulfilling of the Divine Plan, they would keep the Stream open by which It could expand; because a thing cannot expand if you have it locked into something. This is why mankind is in these conditions today.
The war beast, the money beast of the world, and the tax beast of the world hold mankind in their clutches and usurp the Authority of the “Great Christ Presence” of the “Mighty I AM”, by the whip of debt, doubt, fear, and lack of Love, because fear is lack of Love. The thing that makes individuals lock the door against their supply is because of that feeling in the physical body, of what is going to happen to it if it does not get enough to eat when it is hungry, and the kind of a roof which it wants over its head, or have the physical things of the world it wants, which are but temporarily loaned to it for use in the outer self. This is the thing that makes mankind slaves to the destructive forces, when they could be free in the Opulence of God.
This is why We have given you the Decrees in this Class, “I DEMAND AND ‘I AM’”. Notice these two things. Your DEMAND is the Fulfillment of the Cosmic Law’s Requirement which you must demand from the Great Life, Its Substance and Energy, into a concentrated Focus in your outer use, in order to set it into action and stir it into vibratory activity. Your Acknowledgment “I AM” is the acceptance of it. When you say,” ‘I AM’ a thing”, you accept that you, as the God Life, have those qualities within you; or you have the Picture of the design of the Divine Plan which you want fulfilled in the outer world. You have to give those two Commands before you will produce a manifestation.
Now if you will hold closely in your minds, when you say, “I DEMAND AND ‘I AM’”, that it is you who is stirring the energy into action, you will accept and draw into outer manifestation the Universal Light Substance to fill the picture which is in your mind at the time you speak those Words. You will draw it quickly or otherwise according to the amount of Love and Enjoyment you put into the contemplation of the picture. This does not mean you can sit over here in the corner and just daydream and not move a muscle and expect things to drop into your lap out of thin air. Why do you suppose the “Presence” gave you a set of muscles? Why do you suppose you have nerves in the body? Why do you suppose you have an intellect with which to think? Why do you suppose you have the capacity to love if it isn’t for use – Divine Use instead of human?”
