However…”Consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18); The created world itself can hardly wait for what’s coming next. Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens. All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy. (Romans 8:20-25 MSG); Therefore… Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. (Hebrews 12:7-10); And…the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17); So, friends, we can now—without hesitation—walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Cuz…Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. And…The “curtain” into God’s presence is his body. So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. And…Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. For…He always keeps his word. And…Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:21-25 MSG)” ![]()
