“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1);
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure. (1 John 3:2-3);
Do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. (1 John 3:7);
And, Yes…We should love one another! (1 John 3:11);
Now…This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. (1 John 3:16);
And…This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
If our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them.
And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. (1 John 3:19-24);
So, Then…let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:22-25);
So…You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” (Hebrews 10:36-37)…
